Telangana Collector RV Karnan conducts surprise visit to Nalgonda GGH
On Saturday, district Collector RV Karnan gave the physicians and health department representatives instructions to make high-quality healthcare services available to the underprivileged. Karnan paid a surpise visit to the nalgonda government General Hospital and spoke with patients in several wards. He asked the patients about the medical resources and services the hospital offered.
In the conference room of the district collectorate, he also conducted a review meeting with physicians and programme officers from the health department. He gave them instructions to expedite the 164 PHC Sub-Center structures that have been approved for development in the district by the state government. 52 PHC sub-centers out of a total of 257 were operating in government premises, while 205 were operating in rented structures. He emphasised that seven sub-centers' construction projects were finished, and the state government had approved structures for 164 sub-centers.
He advised Aasha staff members and ANMs to spot kids who are severely undernourished and transfer them to the government General Hospital's nutrition rehabilitation centre for care.
