Telangana - Over 32 students of Pvt College fall ill due to ‘food poisoning’

More than 32 students who were residing in the SR Prime junior college dormitory at Bhattupally in the hanamkonda area were unwell on sunday night, reportedly as a result of food poisoning. The students raised concerns about food poisoning. They experienced stomach aches, diarrhoea, and vomiting after consuming the egg biryani that was given for supper at the hostel mess.

Following the persistence of their food poisoning symptoms, some of patients were reportedly sent to two different hospitals in hanamkonda and warangal on monday morning. 15 pupils were transferred to the emergency ward, while 15 students were allegedly discharged after treatment after their conditions stabilised. Later in the day, a medical team from Kadipikonda PHC and a group of health officials went to the private residential college in Bhattupally.
Late on sunday night, 40 students who were residing in the dormitory of a private junior college in Battupally, hanamkonda district, became ill with what was thought to be food poisoning. After consuming the "egg biryani" given at the supper at the hostel mess, some of the students complained of stomach cramps, diarrhoea, and vomiting. After their food poisoning symptoms continued, some 30 of them were transferred to two different hospitals in hanamkonda and warangal on monday morning, according to sources.
