  • Delhi: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning that the rains will continue in the northern states as the yamuna river is flooded.

  • Heavy rain will continue in delhi, himachal pradesh, punjab, jharkhand and Haryana. Similarly, the rains will continue in the northern states of uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, according to the Meteorological Department.

Due to this, the yamuna river flowing in delhi has flooded and water is stagnant in various places throughout the city. With the passage of time, the level of flooding here is starting to increase. The yamuna rose above its highest recorded level of 207.49 meters at Delhi's Old Railway Bridge last wednesday afternoon due to incessant rains there. delhi has recorded the heaviest single-day rainfall in July since 1982. The national capital received 153 mm of rain in the 24 hours till 8:30 am last Sunday, followed by 107 mm of rain in the next 24 hours. It is one of the wettest months of July.
