Tamil Nadu bjp leader annamalai has announced that the pongal festival in which prime minister Modi was scheduled to attend madurai has been postponed due to the rising incidence of corona and omicron infections in tamil Nadu. In tamil Nadu, 'Namma Uru Pongal' celebrations are being held on behalf of the bjp from january 7 to 12 at 1,100 places. The closing ceremony will be held on january 12 in Madurai. Earlier, it was announced on behalf of the tamil Nadu bjp that prime minister Modi will participate in this. The tamil Nadu government has already announced that prime minister Modi will inaugurate 11 newly built medical colleges in Virudhunagar on january 12. According to the bjp, prime minister Narendra Modi will attend the Modi pongal celebrations in madurai at 5 pm after the state function.
Asked about the Prime Minister's participation in the state program, annamalai said, "It is up to the state government to decide on the Prime Minister's participation in the state program."The lack of security for the PM in punjab is due to the ruling congress party in the state. The punjab government has pushed Modi and his entourage into an unsafe environment.
