Locals attack Health workers in Indore
health Care workers in indore along with the civic officials were attacked by an angry mob as the officials visited the area to screen the residents for corona virus infection. Two women doctors were injured in the attack as the mob started to pelt stones on them.
This shocking attack came two days after locals from the Ranipura area of the city allegedly spat at officials and abused them during screening procedures. The video clearly showed the attack where both the healthcare workers were dressed in light blue PPE (personal protective equipment) suits and they run from a small group of locals who started throwing stones.
The video shows a small group of locals around 100 people hurling abuses, throwing sticks and stones and chasing them down the narrow lane. Two confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported from the same area and 54 families were isolated already. indore has 76 percent of all coronavirus reported from madhya pradesh so far. The state has 93 active cases with seven deaths linked to the virus. Yesterday, a patient infected with corona virus in hyderabad attacked doctors at gandhi Hospital and doctors at the hyderabad have claimed protection from the government and assurance from chief minister K.Chandrashekar Rao.
