CBI To Set Foot in Andhra Pradesh For the First Time in 11 Months

Nimisha
Andhra Pradesh Government had referred the Illegal Mining Case of Former TDP MLA, Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao from Gurajala to the Premiere Investigating Agency, CBI. This is the first CBI case in jagan Mohan Reddy's regime. The government has taken the permission of the High Court for this. On August 26, the high court asked the state government whether it is interested in referring the case to the CBI or not.

The State government-owned CID has already conducted an initial inquiry into the charges against Yarapathineni. The report is now available with the State government. If the Central government gives its nod, the CBI would be entering the State for the first time after a gap of 11 months. It may be known to our readers that the previous Chandrababu Naidu government withdrew the General Consent for CBI and blocked its entry.

It has to be seen if this case will lead to the former Chief Minister. CBI inquiry will also give the best chance to Prime Minister Narendra modi to take revenge on Chandrababu Naidu who supported Congress-led UPA in the recent elections.
