Karthi and Rakul Preet's 'Khakee' confirmed for a November release
Young hero Karthi, last seen in Telugu in the Bilingual runaway hit Oopiri/Thozha by Vamshi Paidipally, costarring Nagarjuna and Tamannaah, didn't quite get his opportunity to extend the victorious streak, as his next 2 flicks, the fantasy-horror thriller Kaashmora costarring Nayantara, and the Maniratnam directorial Kaatru Veliyidai with Aditi Rao Hydari, both ended huge failures.
Now Karthi has pinned all his hopes on his upcoming action entertainer, Khaki / Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, directed by H.Vinoth of the con flick Sathuranga Vettai(2014) fame. The teaser of the action flick was released on 17th, and Karthi's stunning looks as a cop handling a critical case has been well received. Rakul Preet who is going through a lean phase is expected to bounce back with this venture.
The film has Karthi getting paired with the gorgeous Rakul Preet Singh, who will play his wife. The film is based on real-life incidents and is centered around a much-discussed crime incident that happened in the country, that takes the cop Theeran from south to north India. It must be noted that Karthi earlier played a cop in 2011 hit Siruthai, and let's see if his Khaki luck can help him get a success again with Khaki/ Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, that releases worldwide on November 17.
