Ranveer Singh to Start Preparing for Farhan Akhtar's Don 3 in March?
Earlier this month, it was reported that the filming of Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3, featuring ranveer singh and kiara advani, has been delayed. Initially set to begin in january, the shoot will now commence in May-June 2025. The delay is due to Farhan, who is currently busy filming 120 Bahadur and wants to complete this project before starting Don 3.
According to News18 Showsha, pre-production for the film is already in progress, and preparations will kick off in march 2024. Ranveer is also occupied with Aditya Dhar’s untitled project and recently welcomed a baby girl with deepika padukone on september 8. Meanwhile, kiara advani is engaged with war 2, starring hrithik roshan and Jr NTR.
March is set to be a busy month for both Ranveer and Deepika, affectionately referred to as DeepVeer by their fans. While Ranveer begins his preparation for the role of Don, deepika will finish her maternity leave and start work on kalki 2. Interestingly, kalki 2898 AD was the last film she worked on before childbirth, during which she also filmed scenes while pregnant.
Last year, it was confirmed that Farhan had chosen Ranveer to take over Shah Rukh Khan’s role in Don 3. This casting decision sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans desiring a new lead while others, particularly Shah Rukh’s supporters, expressed disappointment. Originally, the film's first schedule was meant to start in August, but Farhan later announced that filming would begin in january 2025.
Additionally, reports indicated that Farhan had stepped away from Aamir Khan’s sports drama Champions to focus on Don 3. Champions, which he was set to lead, was scheduled to start filming in october 2023 but was postponed to january 2024 due to scheduling conflicts with Don 3.
