Hamare Baarah: supreme court orders to ban the release of 'Humare Barah' till the petition is settled in bombay High Court

The supreme court has banned the release of Annu Kapoor's film 'Humare Barah'.The film, which is going tobe released in theaters on june 7, has been embroiled in controversy for its bold story and depiction of the issue of population growth. Allegedly, it propagates a story blaming Muslims for population growth by distorting the verses of the Quran. The film has also been banned in many parts of the country to prevent communal tension. After the ban on the release, the difficulties of the makers have also increased.

The supreme court has banned the release of the film until the bombay high court hears and settles the case regarding the objectionable scenes in the film. The supreme court said, "Pending disposal of the petition before the high court, the screening of the concerned film will remain suspended."This decision was taken by the bombay High Court

Filmmakers had received these threats
Let us tell you that earlier Annu Kapoor had requested protection from mumbai Police after the cast and crew of his upcoming film received rape and death threats on social media. The actor said in a video, "The film advocates women's empowerment and talks about women's rights. First, watch the film and then give your verdict. People have the freedom to express their views on social media, but they should not abuse it. Do not abuse or threaten to kill. We will not be afraid of these things."
