Meenakshi Seshadri is a famous actress who once ruled the hindi film industry. He has played strong characters in many films so far, one of them being Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Damini' which released in 1993. Meenakshi's film was a hit, so much so that she was known as 'Damini' after this film. But the actress revealed that she had a shocking experience during this film. Find out exactly what happened.

The film 'Damini' starred Rishi Kapoor, sunny deol and amrish puri along with Meenakshi. This movie was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. But after that, Meenakshi's career took a break. rajkumar santoshi was the reason behind this. rajkumar santoshi was expelled from the movie 'Damini'.  Actually, during the shooting of the film, director rajkumar santoshi proposed Meenakshi for marriage. But as soon as she refused the marriage, she was fired from the film Damini. But Meenakshi decided to stand firm against it. After that, she got a chance to join the film again due to the support of the producers of the film.

Meenakshi Seshadri recently revealed this in an interview to 'Zoom'. She said, “Santoshi ji and I had decided never to talk about it. This is now the past. But even then it was important to stand firm.” Even though this happened, Meenakshi has praised Santoshi. She said, “I respect everyone associated with the film, especially Santoshiji because he had a great vision. They always say that actions speak louder than words," she said.

Two years after 'Damini', meenakshi seshadri tied the knot with Harish mysore in 1995 when she was at the peak of her career. She is now a mother of two children and is living a happy life. Meanwhile, rajkumar santoshi married Manila and they too have two children. After marriage, Meenakshi decided to leave the film industry. Meenakshi and Rajkumar Santoshi's first film together was Ghayal (1990). After 'Damini', they worked together again in 1996 in 'Ghatak'.
