‘Manjummel Boys’ be released in OTT on Disney Plus Hotstar by second week of April

Malayalam film Manjummel Boys is the newest sensation in the film industry. It is getting a lot of high praise from the critics, the audience and some of the biggest names in the industry. As per new reports, Manjummel Boys is finally set to debut on an OTT platform, and details of the same are making rounds online. Let us take a look. Manjummel Boys is currently one of the most successful indian films running in theatres, being praised for its story and performance. Released last month, the film has collected more than Rs 100 crore at the global box-office so far, becoming the fastest malayalam film to do so, reports say. Now, the internet is abuzz with the news of the film’s OTT release.

Reports state that the film is set to make its OTT streaming debut on Disney Plus Hotstar in the second week of April. An official confirmation regarding the report is yet to be made by the platform and the makers. The critically-acclaimed film is inspired from a real life event, a group of friends experienced during their vacation in Kodaikanal, tamil Nadu, which occurred in 2006. The film deals with themes of friendship and resilience, as the group of friends take on unexpected challenges thrown at them, along with some interference of fate.

Manjummel Boys is made under the direction of Chidambaram, who is also the film’s writer. The cast of the film includes names like Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Lal Jr., deepak Parambol, abhiram Radhakrishnan, Arun Kurian, Khalid Rahman, chandu Salimkumar, and vishnu Reghu. It is produced by Soubin Shahir, Babu Shahir, and Shawn Antony, under the banner of Parava Films. Sushin shyam has composed the music in the film, while the cinematographer is Shyju Khalid, and the editing is done by vivek Harshan.

Since its release on february 22, the film became the highest-grossing malayalam film of the year, and fourth highest grosser in the malayalam cinema. At the moment, it is the fifth highest grossing indian film of the year.
