Bhairavakona Postponed For Eagle, Others Didn’t
The telugu Film Producers Council and the telugu Film Chamber of Commerce met today to finally clarify the release dates of films seeking the february 8/9 window.
In reality, for opting out of the Sankranthi contest, Raviteja's "Eagle" was guaranteed a single release date in telugu states, but sandeep Kishan's Ooru peru Bhairavakona, YS Jagan's unofficial biography Yaatra 2, and Rajnikanth's guest-show flick Laal Salam have all secured the same date. However, after speaking with the makers of these films, Ooru peru Bhairavakona chose to give way to Eagle, ensuring that the promise was followed.
"We requested Yaatra 2 creators, but they refused; the same is true for the makers of Laal Salam. Finally, the filmmakers of Ooru peru Bhairavakona understood and decided to reschedule the film for february 16th. We will ensure that Eagle receives more screens," stated dil raju at a news conference this afternoon.
So Eagle will now be released in theatres on february 9th, while Ooru peru Bhairavakona has been pushed back to february 16th. Other films, such as Yaatra 2, will be released on the 8th, with dubbed films like Laal Salaam and True lover following on the 9th.
