The famous sankranti battle at the box office turned out to be a one-horse race, with the heroic visual spectacular 'Hanuman', directed by Prashanth varma and starring teja Sajja, emerging as a consensus smash worldwide. The local entertainment, which combines devotion and action, struck a chord with all segments of moviegoers following its january 11th debut and dominated the ticket windows throughout the festival season.
Even after ten days, Hanuman refuses to slow down at the box office, with second-weekend receipts in all areas looking extremely promising. The film has already grossed 150 crores globally and is expected to reach even higher milestones in the coming days. Unlike other big-budget films, which aim to make a lot of money in the first two weeks before slowing down, Hanuman has been gaining traction with each passing day as it aims for the long haul.
In North India, Hanuman is expected to gross over 30 crores and outperform Karthikeya-2, which was previously one of Bollywood's best blockbusters among medium-budget telugu films. In the United States, Hanuman has roared over the $4 million mark by the second saturday and is on track to reach $5 million in its entirety. The overall foreign revenue, including other nations, has now reached $5 million.
Hanuman's theatrical run in Nizam, telugu States' largest region, has been just mind-blowing, with the single biggest day coming on its second Saturday. The film is anticipated to gross 30 crores in this area alone. The film's remarkable run continues in all remaining territories. With no significant releases in the following two weeks, Hanuman is poised to emerge as an epic hit at the box office.
