Yesterday, on 22 January, Ramlala's life has been consecrated in Ayodhya. The atmosphere of the entire country is Rammayi. There was a similar atmosphere when Ramanand Sagar's tv show Ramayan came on Doordarshan around 1986-87. When the show was telecast, there was silence on the streets. But it is not that this show made on Ramayana is the first to tell the story of Ramayana. Decades before this, a film on Ram's life had been made in Bollywood.

Meanwhile Bollywood's first film 'Raja Harishchandra' was released in the year 1912. According to this, bollywood will be 112 years old by 2024. And the glory of ram had started showering on bollywood already 107 years ago. bollywood was still a child of 5 years when dadasaheb phalke made a film named 'Lanka Dahan' on the life of Lord ram which was released in the year 1917. The film had earned handsomely 107 years ago.

When the father of indian films, Dhundiraj Govind Phalke alias Dadasaheb Phalke's first and also Bollywood's first film 'Raja Harishchandra' was released, it was a unique experience for the audience. The passion for making films resided in the mind of Dada Saheb Phalke. Of course, silent films were made in those days, but despite this shortcoming, the audience did not find it a shortcoming. Because till that time the audience did not know that there could be sound in films. During this time, Dadasaheb once went abroad and saw a film made on Jesus Christ, then he got the idea that we also have such stories which can be spread among the audience. And the audience will also feel connected to it. After this, he made 'Mohini Bhasmasur' in 1913 and then 'Lanka Dahan' in 1917.
