This sankranti season, the tollywood box office is abuzz with anticipation, as ravi Teja's film "Eagle" data-faced a postponement, while five other films were initially slated for release. The remaining four contenders are gearing up for a head-to-head battle, vying for audience attention. Alongside telugu releases, tamil films are also entering the fray for sankranti, with particular focus on the release of Dhanush-starrer "Captain Miller" leading up to Pongal. 

Dhanush has been enjoying success with his recent telugu releases, garnering increased interest from the telugu audience. The makers of "Captain Miller" have consistently asserted that the film data-aligns with telugu tastes and promises to be a success at the local box office. The recently unveiled trailer depicts a compelling narrative set before independence, portraying an indian captain challenging english nobility and actively participating in the freedom movement.


The trailer has generated positive feedback, with viewers expressing optimism about the film's potential as a commercially successful venture. However, amidst the intense competition among telugu releases during sankranti, some voices are sceptical about the film securing sufficient theatre space. Concerns have been raised about the difficulty of finding screens for "Captain Miller" during the festive season.


 Despite the challenges, Dhanush's fans lament the potential absence of theatrical screenings for the telugu audience, expressing a desire for the film's wide release. There are discussions about a delayed release in telugu, potentially hitting theatres a week after the tamil premiere.
