Dunki Fails to Touch even Adipurush

With the entrance of Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki on the 21st and Prabhas' Salaar on the 22nd, many trade professionals expected that the South film would not receive much attention at the bollywood box office. They believed that king Khan's newfound celebrity following Pathaan and Jawan would overtake Salaar on its first day. Really? Here's the surprise.
Forget about Dunki surpassing Salaar; the SRK starrer hasn't even done what Adipurush did with flop talk on Day 1. Prabhas' last picture, Adipurush, which was plagued with catastrophe talk from the moment the trailer was released, grossed about 130 crores globally on its first day, earning nearly 45 crores in the hindi market alone. Dunki is claimed to have grossed just 38+ crores in the hindi region with the hindi version. The picture grossed about 58 million dollars at the box office globally.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned roughly Rs 3.30 crore on its second Wednesday.  Following a great performance of Rs 11.50 crore on sunday and Rs 9 crore on Monday, the film had a decline of more than 50% on Wednesday, earning Rs 3.85 crore. The film's domestic total has already reached Rs 203.92 crore. On Wednesday, Dunki had an overall hindi occupancy of 11.83%. audience and reviewers have given the film mixed reviews.
