Srikanth Addala On Castes and Sequels
Director srikanth Addala, who is well-known for his family dramas, won over telugu viewers with films like kotha bangaru lokam and Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu but suffered greatly with Brahmotsavam. He subsequently stepped in to helm the telugu language version of Asuran, Narappa, and had a hangover from the offbeat action genre that is packed with a rustic appearance and massy feelings.
The filmmaker explained that after working with varun sandesh (his second film) and varun Tej, he was requested to introduce his brother-in-law by producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy. The director felt the young actor Virrat Karna to be remarkable and decided to move through with the project. "This isn't the first narrative we've thought of, but I've told a few love stories, one of which is set in London. However, the producer chose this screenplay, so I moved forward," Addala remarked.
When asked why most of star director Sukumar's associates, including Addala, Buchi Babu, Palnati surya Pratap, and srikanth Odela, have become directors while those of other stars struggle to find projects, the director responded that he has an amusing memory from a long time ago to share in this regard. What memory is that?
