However, this offer is coming for one day only. Actually, october 13 is National cinema Day and cinema halls have decided to discount the ticket rates on this occasion. On this day, many well-known cinema chains including PVR, Inox and Cinepolis have decided to show the film to the audience for Rs 99. Multiplex Association of india (MAI) and many other cinemas have come together for National cinema Day. To celebrate this day, they have reduced the ticket price to Rs 99 for one day only. However, this price is not applicable for premium formats like recliners, 4DX and IMAX. This offer will be applicable on more than 4000 screens across the country. MAI announced this through social media on Thursday, september 21.
MAI announced in its tweet, "National cinema Day is back on 13th October. Join us for an incredible cinematic experience at over 4000 thousand screens across india with a movie ticket of Rs. 99. This friends and It's the perfect day to enjoy your favorite movie with family." Last year, the ticket price was similarly reduced on National cinema Day. At that time the record breaking attendance of the audience was in the cinemas. It is said that 6.5 million viewers in one day watched the film in theatres. MAI is hoping that this time too, where the ticket rates will be lower than 4000 screens, strong audience presence can be seen. Many theater chains including PVR, Inox, Cinepolis, Mirage, CityPride, Asian, Mukt A2, movie Time, Wave, M2K and Delight are coming along to make the event a success.
