Sushant Singh Rajput father moved the Delhi High Court
The father of late actor sushant singh rajput moved the delhi High court on thursday against the order refusing to ban the
'online streaming' of a film based on his son's life. A bench of Justice Yashwant Verma and Justice Dharmesh Sharma issued
notices to several people, including filmmakers, on krishna Kishore Singh's appeal against the single judge's decision. Singh
has accused him of taking "undue commercial advantage" by making a film on his late son's life. Please tell that 34-year-old
sushant singh rajput (SSR) was found dead in his apartment on june 14, 2020, in suburban Bandra, Mumbai.
Single judge dismissed the application
The single judge had last month dismissed an application filed by Rajput's father, who had claimed that the film 'Nyay: The
Justice' was being broadcast on an online platform and contained defamatory statements and news articles and that it was
against sushant singh Rajput. Violates personality rights. Advocate varun Singh, appearing for the appellant, argued on
thursday that apart from infringing on the personality rights of the late sushant singh rajput, the film based on his life also
violates the privacy of the family members, which cannot be allowed.
Sushant's father appealed to the High Court
Senior advocate appearing for the producers of the film said that the right to privacy cannot be claimed after the death of a
person. The court said that the matter is sub judice and asked the respondents to file their reply on the appeal. Rajput's
father has said in the appeal that many people are writing films, web-series and books etc. based on the life of SSR without
proper consent. He said that he has every right to protect the reputation, privacy and rights of his late son, as well as to
protect the reputation, privacy and rights of himself and his family members.
