Nani Palkhiwala's entry - Refused to advocate for Muslim side?

The Muslim side asked Nana Palkhiwala to represent them in the supreme court case of M Siddiq vs. Mahant suresh Das and others in 1994. Muslim groups have stated that K. Parasaran will argue on behalf of the Hindu side; thus, we should likewise have a prominent lawyer on our side. The Muslim side's counsel, Zafaryab Jilani, stated in an interview that Palkhiwala was initially contacted by the Babri Action Committee at its level, but he declined to take the case to court.

Jilani continues, "In the meantime, we learned that Palkhiwala is close friends with movie star dilip kumar, so we got in touch with dilip Kumar." After listening to us, dilip kumar called the palanquin salesman. Jilani claims that Palkhiwala declined Kumar's recommendation to take up the case. Palkhiwala responded, "I am busy with budget work and will not be able to give time to the case," when asked why.

The Chief Justice was informed that they would be unable to administer justice at Babri.  In february 1993, Venkatachaliah was appointed Chief Justice of India. In the meantime, the government of narasimha Rao asked the supreme court to rule on the Babri controversy. Palkhiwala disagreed with this Rao administration action. According to Palkhiwala, the court is still uninformed about land and archaeology-related issues.
