4 artists who were to participate in the opening ceremony of the Chess Olympiad series have been confirmed to be infected with Corona. The Grand Chess Olympiad is going to start today at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Egmore, Chennai. More than 187 countries are participating in this tournament. In this inaugural program, there will be many games like Parayaatam, Voyilaatam, Poikkal horse game, etc.
At this stage, more than 900 artists are going to participate in this grand performance. As a precautionary measure they were tested for Corona. 4 of them were diagnosed with corona infection. Hence, they are isolated.In the environment where prime minister Modi, chief minister M.K.Stalin's Union Ministers, chess players, and many others are participating in the performance, the corona infection has shocked everyone.
While all the people participating in the festival had already been tested for Corona, suddenly the artists were confirmed to be infected with Corona and their fellow artists are closely monitored who were in contact. Only a few days ago, tamil Nadu chief minister M.K.Stalin was infected with the coronavirus and was admitted to the hospital. Later, he recovered from corona as a result of treatment. However, we can tell from his performances that his voice is still not fully developed.
Corona infection has been increasing in india including tamil Nadu for the past few weeks. In the context of increasing corona infection in tamil Nadu as well, Corona restrictions were again intensified across tamil Nadu including Chennai. The health department has advised the public to wear data-face masks in public places.
