Summer food is in high demand for all fruits during summer. fruits help in maintaining hydration in the body, regulate body temperature and prevent colds and digestion problems. Among these, some fruits are in high demand.

Watermelon is one of them. Those who do not like watermelon will be less. The relief it provides is not small, especially in hot weather. Watermelon also has many health benefits. First of all, watermelon is also a fruit that people who are trying to lose weight rely on.

It is low in calories and is preferred by those trying to lose weight. 100 g of watermelon contains only 30 calories. It also contains 0.6 grams of protein, 7.6 grams of carbohydrates, 6.2 grams of sugar and 0.4 grams of fiber.

Of course, the amount of fiber is lower in watermelon. Therefore, when including watermelon in your diet, try to include other foods that contain fiber. However, eating this fruit, which is 91% water, is very helpful in raising the body's hydration.

Watermelon is a storehouse of many essential nutrients for the body, including vitamin-C, potassium, copper, vitamin-B5, vitamin-A, citrulline and lysopene. Citrulline is contained in the white part of the inner core, which is just outside the red part. It is then converted to the amino acid 'arginine'. It contributes to the function of the lungs, kidneys, and liver, as well as the reproductive system.

A study by researchers from Harvard university underscores this. In addition, citrulline can help lower BP. This is also good for the heart.

But despite this, eating too much watermelon is not good. Regular consumption of large quantities of watermelon keeps the body hydrated. It can cause a variety of health problems and ailments.

This can lead to progressive liver problems, high blood sugar, indigestion and even heart problems. Therefore, it should be taken in moderation only. There are people who always eat watermelon as a substitute for food. This is not a good idea, at least once a day. When watermelon is eaten daily only to quench the appetite, it can be overdosed. We may not realize it. We can proceed with caution to avoid such complications.
