The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2026 applications are now officially open. Eligible candidates can apply online immediately through the official portal, ensuring they do not miss the deadline to participate in this crucial exam for aspiring teachers in Punjab.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements to apply:

  • Educational Qualification:
    • For Primary Level (Classes I–V): Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year diploma in Elementary education (D.El.Ed), or relevant qualifications as per NCTE norms.
    • For Upper Primary Level (Classes VI–VIII): Graduation and a 2-year diploma in Elementary education (or B.Ed.) as per eligibility guidelines.
  • Age Limit: There is generally no specific upper age limit, but candidates must satisfy educational eligibility.
  • Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
How to Apply

  • Candidates can apply directly through the official PSTET website.

Exam Pattern and Selection
