Covaxin vs Covishield conspiracies! facts behind the vaccine jab intervals explained.

There have been lots of theories running regarding both the vaccine shots available in the market. Recently the guidelines for the Covishield vaccine has been updated by the government. The interval between the first and the second dosage has been increased to 3 months, as the effect of the first shot was found to be quite strong.  Now considering this many theories and doubts has raised in people that coaxing is not effective like Covishiled. Let's find out the truth behind it.

The complete vaccination for both the vaccine completes with two doses. The Covishield's first dose is very strong when compared to the covaxin. in fact, the covaxin's second shot has to be taken after four weeks which is a short period compared to the Covishield. “On the other hand, immunity level after the first shot of Covaxin is not as high and this means the second dose should be taken after four weeks to ensure full efficacy,” Dr Bhargava said. ICMR explained why the gap between two doses of Covaxin has not been increased vs Covishield as the first dose of the latter is stronger. But it doesn’t mean fully vaccinated with Covaxin equals less protection.

Earlier the time period for people affected with coronavirus has also been increased and extended to up to 6 months. As people affected by the virus can develop antibodies that can protect them from getting infected again.
