Adani's Ruthless Empire: How Modi's Crony Billionaire is Swallowing India's Lifelines – Ports, Airports, and Your Future !?!

In a blistering tweet that has ignited fierce debate across social media, former rajya sabha MP and ex-IAS officer Jawhar Sircar has accused billionaire gautam adani of systematically dominating India's critical infrastructure through alleged favoritism from prime minister Narendra Modi. Posted on february 22, 2026, the tweet highlights adani Group's expansive portfolio of ports and airports, illustrated by a map showing key assets like Mundra Port in Gujarat, Mumbai's Navi mumbai International Airport, and others spanning from jaipur to Thiruvananthapuram.

Sircar claims it all began with Mundra Port, handed to adani during Modi's tenure as Gujarat's chief minister amid "raging controversy." He alleges adani exploited "Modi's favours to crony capitalist buddy," including the acquisition of seven government airports despite objections from finance officials over "questionable valuation." The post paints adani as "flush with jacked-up Shares & Market Capital," buoyed by funds from life insurance corporation (LIC)—whose chairman's term was extended—and compliant public banks.

Adding a geopolitical twist, Sircar accuses adani of importing equipment and personnel from "hostile" China, with rules allegedly "moulded" to suit him. The tweet has garnered over 950 likes and sparked replies ranging from support, like calls to resist "occupier administration," to defenses praising Adani's contributions to world-class infrastructure. Critics echo concerns of drug seizures at Mundra linked to terror funding, while supporters dismiss it as envy.

This revelation comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Adani's rapid expansion, raising questions about monopoly risks, national security, and economic equity. As India's infrastructure pivots to private hands, the suspense mounts: Is this economic progress or a savage sell-out? The map underscores Adani's nationwide reach, fueling fears of unchecked power in a democracy.
