Actually, mukesh ambani had decided to give up his salary in the year 2020 during the crisis of Kovid and he has been following this step for four consecutive years. In the latest annual report of reliance industries, it has been informed that Chairman and Managing director mukesh ambani has continued the decision of not taking any salary from the company this year as well.

In june 2020, mukesh ambani had voluntarily decided to give up his entire remuneration for the year 2020-21, including salary, allowances, perquisites, retirement benefits as well as any commission. The RIL CMD had taken this decision keeping in mind the damage to the social, economic and industrial health of the country due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in India. Earlier, mukesh ambani had limited his remuneration to Rs 15 crore from 2008-09, that is, he had put a limit on taking salary or other remuneration of more than Rs 15 crore in a year from the company.
