Chennai: tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin on tuesday morning inaugurated a newly constructed Integrated police office Building in the Kolathur assembly constituency, built at a cost of ₹11.37 crore, aimed at strengthening law enforcement infrastructure and improving public services.

The new facility houses the office of the Kolathur Deputy Commissioner of Police along with other police units, enabling better coordination and efficient administration. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the chief minister said that modern and well-equipped police infrastructure is essential to ensure effective policing and public safety in rapidly growing urban areas.

Mr. stalin noted that the integrated building has been designed with modern amenities to support police personnel in their day-to-day operations, while also making it easier for the public to access police services under one roof. He emphadata-sized that such facilities would enhance transparency, responsiveness, and efficiency within the police department.

The chief minister highlighted the tamil Nadu government’s continued focus on upgrading police stations, offices, and residential quarters across the state to improve working conditions for police personnel. He said that investing in infrastructure is a key step towards maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of citizens.

Senior police officials stated that the new integrated office would significantly improve operational effectiveness and help in quicker response to law-and-order issues in the Kolathur region. The building is equipped with administrative offices, meeting halls, and public service areas.

The inauguration event was attended by senior government officials, police officers, local representatives, and members of the public. With this initiative, the state government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening policing infrastructure and providing efficient governance at the grassroots level.
