Chief minister M.K. Stalin has stated with pride that 43 dams have been constructed across tamil Nadu during the DMK government’s tenure, highlighting the administration’s strong commitment to water resource development and sustainable growth.

Speaking at a public event, the chief minister emphadata-sized that the construction of these dams reflects the government’s long-term vision to address water scarcity, improve irrigation facilities, and ensure adequate drinking water supply for both urban and rural populations. He noted that effective water management has been one of the key priorities of the DMK government since assuming office.

According to M.K. stalin, the newly constructed dams have significantly enhanced water storage capacity in the state, benefiting farmers by supporting agriculture even during periods of insufficient rainfall. These projects have also contributed to groundwater recharge, helping to stabilize water availability in drought-prone regions.

The chief minister further stated that the DMK government has adopted a scientific and environmentally conscious approach in implementing water infrastructure projects. Modern engineering practices and safety standards were followed to ensure the durability and efficiency of the dams, while efforts were made to minimize environmental impact.

He also highlighted that these projects have created employment opportunities for local communities and boosted economic activity in surrounding areas. Reiterating the DMK’s commitment to the welfare of tamil Nadu, M.K. stalin said that strengthening water resources is essential for the state’s future, especially in the data-face of climate change and unpredictable monsoon patterns.
