Maharashtra: Many new cases are coming to light every day during the budget session from the Legislative assembly in Maharashtra. Today a notice of breach of privilege has been given by bjp leader and minister Jaikumar Gore against shiv sena UBT mp sanjay raut and ncp SP Rohit Pawar. The minister has accused all of them of defaming him.
Maharashtra Rural Development minister Jaikumar Gore on Thursday presented a notice of breach of privilege against shiv sena (UBT) mouthpiece 'Saamana' executive editor sanjay raut and two others and accused them of defaming him. Apart from sanjay raut, he has also presented a notice of breach of privilege against ncp (SP) mla Rohit Pawar and a wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital journalist named Tushar Kharat.
The bjp minister said that his image was tarnished by raising an old issue. Jaikumar Gore said, 'The court had acquitted me in 2019 and a deliberate attempt was made to defame me. This is also contempt of court.' During this, he insisted that if he is guiltythen he is ready to data-face any punishment.
In this matter, his senior party colleague Sudhir Mungantiwar urged the Speaker of the assembly to accept the notice of breach of privilege and take a decision on it before march 26, the last day of the ongoing budget session. While in the case, Speaker rahul Narvekar said that he had accepted the notice and sent it to the Privileges Committee of the House. Appropriate action will be taken in the matter after receiving the report from the Privileges Committee.
