With her many roles in bollywood and Hollywood, priyanka Chopra, the "desi girl" of the indian film industry, has established a name and reputation for herself globally. Following a lengthy hiatus from her indian career, she is said to be making a triumphant return with mahesh babu in SS Rajamouli's "SSMB29."

The actress has been outspoken about how difficult it was for her to get to where she is now. It turns out that before she got famous, she had to deal with a good number of "family conflicts." The actress previously disclosed in an interview that several members of her punjabi family referred to her as "Kaali," or "black," because of her dark skin.

"Being the darkest, my family called me kaali in jest, and I didn't really understand how much that affected me until I was a teenager," she added. Thinking back to her early years, she recalled how being called names like "brownie" and "curry" at school made it necessary for her to eat in the restroom rather than the cafeteria. priyanka also recalled that because of her father Ashok Chopra's rigid military upbringing, she does not have many happy memories of him. She described how, when someone leaped onto her balcony from another terrace, her father transformed their home into a real jail.

Priyanka said, "My dad literally turned our house into a jail because he was so scared." He installed a large lock on the front entrance and wrought-iron bars on my windows after a man leaped onto my balcony from another terrace.I was not permitted to dress in tight clothing or T-shirts. We had a major ego conflict. Many people in india may relate to her narrative of suffering because they are moved by her bravery and tenacity. It would be intriguing to watch her abilities in action in such a prominent production, especially since reports have her playing the female lead mahesh babu in SS Rajamouli's "SSMB 29."
