PESU store keeper arrested by vigilance team?
In bihar, the opposition has been accusing the Nitish government of bribery and corruption in government offices. However, the vigilance department team has previously exposed many corrupt and bribe-taking officials and arrested them and sent them to jail. Today, on Tuesday, a new case has come to light, where a bribe-taking store keeper of the electricity department has been arrested red-handed by the vigilance department team while taking a bribe of Rs 30000.
Demand of bribe of ten thousand rupees from every vehicle
Giving full information about the case, DSP of the vigilance department Rajesh Kumar said that the South bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL) of the electricity department had sold iron scrap, which was part of the department's junk, online. The purchase was made by pramod kumar and Akhilesh Kumar Chaudhary of patna, but when they went to buy the goods from the warehouse located in PESU (PESU patna Electric Supply Undertaking) premises on Sardar patel Marg, patna, the store controller Akhilesh Kumar demanded a bribe of ten thousand rupees for each truck.
The deal was to pay 30 thousand rupees in installments.
DSP Rajesh Kumar said that there were a total of 10 trucks of goods which were fixed at 90 thousand. After this, the buyers Akhilesh Kumar and pramod kumar informed the surveillance department about this. Rajesh Kumar told that today both of them had gone to buy goods and it was already decided that 30 thousand rupees each would have to be paid in three installments. Today the goods were to be taken by paying the first installment of 30000 rupees, these people had come to pay the demand and the surveillance team was also fully prepared. Both of them gave 30 thousand rupees to the store controller Akhilesh Kumar, while taking which the surveillance department team arrested them red handed.
