In this case, there are heavy crowds in supermarkets, vegetable shops, and grocery stores in various parts of the capital Chennai. people are thronging the shops to stock up on essential items like vegetables, milk, rice, eggs, candles, matches etc. Due to this, there is a severe shortage of essential items. Even though chennai is not receiving heavy rain at present, it is raining widely in various parts of the city. The main areas of the city like Vadapalani, Kodambakkam, Saligramam, Valasaravakkam, Velachery, and Pallikarana have received moderate rain.
