From today, OPD and test facilities will be available in all the hospitals of Himachal. himachal pradesh State Association of Medical and Dental college Teachers has announced to end the strike. The decision on the strike was taken after meeting chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu at the state secretariat. Now doctors will return to work in hospitals from tomorrow. chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has assured to sympathetically consider the legitimate demands of the striking doctors. Earlier, only emergency services were running in the government hospitals of the state.
Dr. Balveer Singh Verma said that the himachal pradesh State Association strongly condemns the unfortunate incident at RG Kar Medical college in Kolkata. He expressed concern over the safety of doctors and health workers. Dr. Balveer Singh Verma said that a meeting was held with chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today. In the meeting, it was assured that all the demands would be implemented. Now it has been decided to resume all services as before in indira gandhi Medical college and related hospitals. However, symbolic protests will continue after duty.
Doctors will return to work in Himachal from tomorrow
It is worth mentioning that on 9th August, a PG intern was raped in Kolkata. After the rape, the lady doctor was brutally murdered. Goons disguised as a mob entered inside and tried to destroy the evidence. After the gruesome incident, protests started across the country. The protesting doctors are also demanding justice for Kolkata's daughter and implementation of health Protection Act across the country. Patients have got a big relief after the end of the strike of doctors in Himachal Pradesh. Now, health services will be available in hospitals like before.
