Air India Flight Attendant Attacked in London Hotel Room While Asleep
In a disturbing incident, a female air india crew member was reportedly assaulted by an intruder in her hotel room in london earlier this week. The attack occurred on thursday night at the Radisson red Hotel near Heathrow Airport. The assailant entered the room of the cabin crew member and attempted to assault her. Fortunately, her colleagues, who were staying at the same hotel, heard her screams and came to her aid. According to the Times of india, the intruder attempted to flee upon seeing her colleagues but was ultimately apprehended by hotel staff.
The airline stated that the crew member was asleep when the intruder attacked her around 1:30 am. She woke up, screamed for help, and was assaulted with a clothes hanger and dragged across the floor as she tried to reach the door.
Air india expressed deep concern over the incident, noting in a statement on saturday that the safety and well-being of their crew are top priorities. The airline is deeply troubled by the unlawful intrusion at a hotel operated by a major international chain.
The Hindu reports that the air hostess, who suffered bruises, was taken to a hospital and has since returned to india to receive counseling.
Complaints about security issues at the london hotel, including dark corridors, an unmanned reception, and previous incidents involving individuals knocking on doors, have been noted. The local police and hotel management are continuing to address the situation.
