India to leave Barbados amid Hurricane - Will reach Delhi Tomorrow

On tuesday, July 2, the indian squad is scheduled to depart barbados by a special flight that has been organised by the BCCI. Since Hurricane Beryl made landfall on barbados, india, the team that defeated south africa to win the t20 world cup 2024, has been stranded there. The crew lead by rohit sharma has spent the last several days stranded in barbados as the hurricane intensified on Monday, July 1, from category 3 to 4.
 

Since the hurricane was predicted to make landfall in barbados on Monday, the indian squad was compelled to remain inside their hotel. According to Vikrant Gupta of india Today, the team is now scheduled to depart barbados on tuesday at 6:00 p.m. barbados time. In IST, this means that it will be around 3:30 am on Wednesday. On wednesday, July 3, the squad is scheduled to arrive in delhi by 7:45 p.m.
 
"Excellent news. On a chartered flight organised by BCCI, the indian team will finally depart barbados on tuesday at 6 p.m. local time. wednesday around 7:45 p.m., to arrive in delhi," wrote Vikrant Gupta. The barbados Prime minister Mia Mottley said earlier that she expected the airport in the island nation to become operational in the "next six to 12 hours", ending the shutdown forced by a category 4 hurricane.
