Dravid Backs Kohli for World Cup Finals

In support of the struggling virat kohli, India's head coach rahul dravid and captain rohit sharma have stated that the elegant batter has demonstrated his intentions and is expected to deliver a "big one" in the t20 world cup finals against South Africa. Despite leading the IPL in runs scored this year with 741, kohli has only managed to score 75 runs in seven innings and has not yet made a major impact on the competition.

In the semifinals, india defeated england by 68 runs to get to the final. "You know with Virat, the thing is, when you play a slightly high risk brand of cricket there can be times when it doesn't come off," Dravid remarked.

"Even today, I felt he set the tone with a really good six, but he was just unfortunate that the ball seemed to be sailing a little bit more." However, I like the goal and the method he used.

And for some reason, I believe there will be a major one soon; I don't want to ruin it. I think he deserves it because of his dedication to the game and his great demeanour. Rohit, the captain, too predicted that kohli will perform well in Saturday's final.

"He is an excellent player. That may happen to any athlete. However, once more, we recognise his class and his significance in all of these major games.

"Form is never an issue because after fifteen years of playing cricket, form is never an issue. I felt that he looked terrific. There is intention. Probably in preparation for the finals.

With three fifties and 248 runs so far, Rohit has become the first player to captain india in an ICC global event final in less than a year, having done so in the wake of the 2023 World Test championship and the ODI World Cup.

Dravid showered Rohit with praise, saying, "Whatever I say will fall short." how he has collaborated with the team, his approach, his level of maturity, how the team has responded to him, and how much time he devotes to planning, strategy, and conversation with all of us.I have nothing but praise for him both personally and as a cricket player. india has demonstrated strong teamwork.
