Telangana - KTR calls Medak Violence as 'Shameful'
Working president of the BRS KT Rama Rao called the violence in medak a disgrace on Sunday, saying that a community known for peace where there had never been any communal activity before had descended into chaos. He recalled that telangana had been calm and free of communal violence for the previous nine and a half years under the leadership of former chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
After members of two religious organizations fought over the transfer of cattle—possibly cows—to a location in medak town on Saturday, tensions between the communities grew. Section 144 was enforced by the police when bjp supporters and BJYM, an associated group, reportedly participated in the altercation and staged demonstrations.
At least nine people were held on both sides, even though 45 people had been booked. Rama Rao, speaking to X, said that telangana had been calm and free of inter-communal violence for the last nine and a half years. "And there's no law or order in the congress Government right now," he declared. He reminded that when former chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was at the helm of affairs, telangana had remained peaceful without any communal violence for the last nine and a half years.
