The swearing-in of telugu desam party leader chandrababu naidu as the chief minister of andhra pradesh has been rescheduled for june 12, according to sources who spoke to india Herald. He was initially scheduled to take the oath on june 9.

The date was changed as a result of narendra Modi's historic third term as India's prime minister, which began on Saturday, june 8. In preparation for his oath ceremony, which is anticipated to happen in the evening, Modi submitted his letter of resignation to President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday. Accepting his resignation as prime minister and Council of Ministers, the President asked him to hold onto his position until the next administration took office.

A key player in the National Democratic Alliance's historic third consecutive win is Chandrababu Naidu. The opposition-led india bloc put up a strong fight, and he, together with Janata Dal President and bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, were instrumental in keeping the flow of support in the alliance's favour after the bjp was unable to secure a majority on its own.
Following the results of the lok sabha election, chandrababu naidu reiterated his resolve to "firmly stay" with the BJP-led nda, despite efforts by the india alliance to win over the tdp chairman. In andhra pradesh, the tdp performed admirably, defeating jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP, which lost the assembly elections and now only has 11 seats.

In the meantime, sources stated that narendra modi presided over a meeting of the Union cabinet on wednesday to review the outcomes of the lok sabha election and talk about issues related to the formation of the new administration. This was the final meeting of the Council of Ministers and the Modi 2.0 Cabinet.

Modi presided over an nda meeting later that night to discuss the specifics of the establishment of the government. According to insiders, chandrababu naidu is most likely searching for the position of Speaker of the lok sabha in the upcoming Central administration. The tdp leader is reportedly targeting seven to eight cabinet positions as well as one MoS seat. These are Jal Shakti, Agriculture, Road Transport, Health, Rural Development, Housing & Urban Affairs, IT & Communications, Education, and Finance (MoS).
