AP: Everything is ready - Polling ready to begin!
Elections for assembly and lok sabha are going to be held simultaneously in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The future of 2, 841 candidates is going to be determined in a few hours. At present there are 46,389 police stations across the state. This polling will also start from 7 am today. election Officer mukesh Kumar meena informed the complete details in this regard yesterday. In particular, he informed that a lot of security arrangements have been made in 12,438 polling stations.
Meena revealed that all the arrangements have been made to protect 31,385 polling centers, around 75% of the centers with complete security inside and outside. He said that polling centers in all districts will be monitored through 26 tv monitors in relation to 26 districts. mukesh Kumar meena says that everyone should use the vote every five years as it happens in a democracy. It states that elections should be conducted in a judicial and transparent manner.
In the last election, 79.84 percent voting was recorded in the state, with the target of 83% voting in this election, various programs were also announced to make the voters aware. mukesh Kumar meena revealed that drinking water, wheelchairs and first aid services will be available to the voters at the polling station.
There are 46,389 polling centers in the state.. It has been revealed that around 1.60 lakh new EVMs are also being used in this general election. Actually, as originally proposed, 1.45 lakh EVMs were thought to be sufficient for 46,165 polling stations, but 15 more EVMs were also installed for the proposed 224 auxiliary polling stations. DGP Harish Kumar Gupta disclosed that security measures have been taken to ensure that polling percentage is conducted peacefully and properly in the state.
