First Mrunal and now Mehreen - Heroines prefer Egg Freezing

G GOWTHAM
Once a taboo subject, the idea of freezing eggs is gradually becoming more and more popular in India. Actresses who have publicly shared their decision to go through this treatment, such as Mrunal Thakur and mehreen pirzada, have sparked discussions and empowered other women.

Recently, mehreen wrote a moving essay about her experience freezing eggs. She was open about the difficulties, which included managing hormone swings and getting over her fear of needles. She does, however, highlight how empowered it makes women feel, enabling them to put their personal and professional lives first without sacrificing their desire to become mothers. Mrunal Thakur previously mentioned that she is thinking of storing her eggs so that she may utilise them anytime she wants to become pregnant in the future.

This transparency on the part of celebrities is a big improvement. Traditionally, women have been dissuaded from investigating egg freezing due to social constraints and a lack of knowledge. Actresses like Mrunal and mehreen are normalising the topic and reducing stigma by sharing their own stories. But there's always the argument that going through a typical pregnancy is preferable to storing eggs and using a surrogate, but that's a discussion for another day.
