DMK minister TRB Rajaa and tamil Nadu bjp president K annamalai are engaged in a verbal sparring match about campaign costs and their respective parties' prospects in the state's impending lok sabha election. The BJP's annamalai, the candidate for coimbatore, questioned what other parties were doing for the constituency's welfare and development.

"Coimbatore has benefited from nothing that the Dravidian parties have done. What significant improvements have they made for Coimbatore? The temperature has increased, that is the only change that has occurred. It was two or three degrees hotter here today than it was when it was cold and serene," he said.

The son of DMK mp TR Baalu, TRB Rajaa, responded by saying that the bjp could not stand the "election heat".

"They are inventing tales concerning two or three degrees. The electoral heat will be too much for these folks to handle. They are not even aware of the existence of election heat. Brother, we haven't even ignited the stove yet. And you're talking about heat already," he remarked.

Remaining resolute, annamalai declared he would not throw away a "single penny" to win the lok sabha seat from Coimbatore.

"Tons of money will be donated by other parties. You may get it in writing from me. "I'm not going to spend a single penny on winning coimbatore elections," he said.

"The election commission has fixed a certain amount that a candidate can spend for election," retorted TRB Rajaa. We provide tea and coffee to party workers who come in to work on elections. We have costs. However, since no one is attending to support the bjp, they might not incur any costs."

On april 19, there will be a single phase of voting for the 39 lok sabha seats held by tamil Nadu. june 4 is the date of the vote count.
