Social media influencers Sufi Malik of pakistan and anjali Chakra of india have called off their impending wedding and proclaimed the end of their romance. The pair announced their breakup on instagram, citing Sufi's adultery as the reason. The duo had gained notoriety on the internet in 2019 for their colorful celebration of South Asian culture and same-sex love.

Since their adventure began more than five years ago, anjali and Sufi have won many hearts with their exquisite depiction of love that knows no bounds or cultural conventions. Their engagement was the stuff of fairy tales; it happened a year before they broke up. At the famous Empire State Building in New York, Sufi proposed to Anjali. They joyfully shared the occasion with their fans via a video clip.

But only a few weeks before their wedding, Sufi confessed to cheating on anjali, bringing the fantasy to an abrupt halt.
"I made an unrecognisable mistake of betrayal by cheating on her a few weeks before our wedding. I've hurt her tremendously, beyond my understanding. I am owning up to my mistake and will continue to do so. I've hurt the people I love and care about the most through my actions, including our family and friends; our community that I cherish," Sufi wrote in her instagram post.

"This may come as a shock, but our journey is shifting. We have decided to call off our wedding and end our relationship due to infidelity committed by Sufi," read Anjali’s post.
