As part of "Operation Garuda" targeting global drug cartels, the CBI, Interpol, and the vishakapatnam Customs Department seized a cargo container at Visakhapatnam Port. The shipper said that the container, which was headed for Visakhapatnam from Santos Port in Brazil, contained one thousand bags of inactive dried yeast.

On closer examination, though, it was discovered that there were drugs combined with the yeast. There were 25 kg of narcotics in each bag, or 25000 kg overall. A lawsuit was brought against the consignee and other parties involved after the whole package was confiscated. Through this operation, an international criminal network that smuggles drugs by blending them with other substances is exposed.

There are still investigations underway. According to recent research, millions of individuals in andhra pradesh may be impacted by a shift in the state's drug misuse habits. Millions in andhra pradesh are affected by cocaine, painkillers, cannabis, and stimulants similar to amphetamines, per a recent report.

The opposition tdp claims that as smuggling operations increase, young people in the state are becoming more and more addicted to drugs. andhra pradesh has seen a rise in drug-related problems under chief minister jagan Mohan Reddy, with drug money finding its way into politics. The high number of drug-related suicides in the state is a reflection of the government's complete inability to handle the issue. Furthermore, YS jagan is attempting to establish this city as the state capital when this enormous narcotics raid takes place there. If the state still has a brand, it is humiliating to the whole of it.
