Sadhguru experiences "life-threatening bleeding"...

The founder of the Isha Foundation and spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev recently had emergency brain surgery to treat "life-threatening" brain hemorrhage and edema. The procedure took place at Delhi's Apollo Hospital on march 17. Dr. vinit Suri, a senior consultant neurologist at Apollo Hospital who evaluated Sadhguru, stated in a video released by the Isha Foundation that the spiritual leader had been experiencing excruciating headaches for the previous four weeks.

"He carried out his regular daily routine, social engagements, and even performed the maha Shivaratri function on march 8 despite the intensity of the pain." In the video, Dr. Suri stated, "He continued with all the meetings, ignoring all the pain." But when Sadhguru spoke with Dr. Suri on the phone on march 15, his headache got worse. The senior consultant neurologist stated, "We knew right away that there was something sinister happening the way the pain was getting worse." When he called me at 4 p.m., I insisted that he obtain an MRI right away. However, he had a meeting that he wanted to attend at six o'clock. We were able to get him to have an MRI somehow, and the results revealed a severe brain hemorrhage. Both new bleeding that had happened within the last 24 to 48 hours and evidence of a chronic bleed that had lasted three to four weeks were present, according to Dr. Suri.

Despite the doctors' advice for Sadhguru to be admitted to the hospital right away, he carried out his obligations. On march 17, nevertheless, the 66-year-old spiritual leader began to experience weakness in his left leg and a deterioration in his level of consciousness. After that, he was hurried to the hospital. According to the doctor, the surgery went well, and Sadhguru is no longer on a ventilator.
