Telangana - SSC Exams - Invigilators will face consequences if malpractice happens

SIBY JEYYA
If invigilators do not maintain the integrity of the exam, they will now be punished. During the SSC Public Examinations 2024, which are set to take place from march 18 to april 2, the Directorate of government Examinations (DGE) is implementing strict measures to counteract exam misconduct.

If any student cheating or plagiarism occurs while the invigilators are watching the tests, they will be disciplined severely.

Students who were detected cheating in the past data-faced consequences, such as being disqualified from future exams. Careless teachers were deprived of their invigilation responsibilities; in exceptional instances, they were suspended. The committee that was established especially to deal with malpractice situations will now decide on a case-by-case basis what consequences to apply.

District Educational Officers (DEOs) have been instructed by the DGE to notify invigilators of their responsibility for any malpractice or copying occurrences that occur in their test centers.

The responsibility of supervising exam centers within their purview and guaranteeing compliance with anti-malpractice protocols has been assigned to DEOs and Mandal Educational Officers (MEOs).

Furthermore, DEOs and MEOs must keep registers that record public complaints about misconduct or plagiarism.

Reports on their actions regarding these concerns are also required. Officers are instructed to post their contact numbers at testing centers to encourage public reporting.
