Vijay's first voice out against BJP..!?
Vijay has said that the indian citizenship amendment act is not acceptable and is being implemented based on divisive politics, and has asked the rulers to give an assurance that they will not implement this law in tamil Nadu. The citizenship amendment act (CAA) was passed by both houses of parliament in december 2019 amid protests from various political parties in the country. In this context, 4 years have passed since the enactment of the caa Act, and the Ministry of home Affairs issued a notification yesterday that the Act has come into force immediately. This Act led to the granting of citizenship to Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis, and Christians who sought refuge in india before december 31, 2014, after religious persecution in neighboring Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.
At the same time, Muslims are denied citizenship. This Act states that Sri Lankan Tamils are also not allowed to be granted citizenship. Political leaders are strongly protesting against this law. In this situation, actor Vijay, who started a new party, has not made any comments against anyone so far. In this situation, he has now raised his voice against the Citizenship Act brought by the central government.
