US voters pick Michelle Obama as presidential candidate, if not Biden

According to a recent survey, former US First Lady Michelle obama is the front-runner to succeed President Joe Biden as the Democratic Party's nominee for the 2024 presidential election.

According to a Rasmussen Reports survey issued on Monday, over 48% of Democratic voters surveyed indicated they approved of the party "finding another candidate to replace Joe Biden before the election in November," compared to 38% who disapproved. The New York Post revealed that only 33% of Democrats think a ballot shakeup is likely to occur.

Michelle obama received twenty per cent of the vote, ahead of many other contenders to succeed 81-year-old Joe Biden. Notable candidates included california governor Gavin Newsom, Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Vice President Kamala harris, and "none of the above" and "not sure" choices.

15% of Democrats preferred Kamala harris to be the Democratic nominee for president after Michelle Obama. Twelve percent more indicated they would want to see a rerun of the 2016 presidential election between 77-year-old donald trump and 76-year-old Hillary Clinton.

With 11% of the vote, Newsom, 56, who has been accused of leading a "shadow campaign" for the president in the event that Biden withdraws, took the lead. Democratic voters gave Whitmer, 52, 9% of the vote.

Michelle obama has had several invitations to try her hand at politics and run for president. Her husband, barack obama, served as US President from 2009 to 2017.

As reported by USAToday, Michelle obama expressed her "terrified" state of mind on the outcome of the 2024 presidential election last month.

People often ask, "Oh my God, does government do everything for us? We cannot take this democracy for granted. Does it really even do anything? " our makes me angry. And occasionally I worry that we may. I stay motivated by those things," the woman remarked.

Joe Biden and donald trump will almost certainly data-face off again in the 2024 presidential election. Despite worries about his advanced age, Biden has said he will run, while Trump's popularity is still rising despite legal hurdles.
