Remembering the journey of India's National Anthem!!!

The exciting travels of India's National Anthem, "Jana Gana Mana," have taken it from calcutta in 1911 to Madanapalle, andhra pradesh in 1919, Hamburg, germany in 1942, over the arabian sea in 1943, and ultimately to New delhi in 1950. Featuring a cast of legendary figures, including Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Abid Hasan, Capt. ram Singh Thakuri, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, his niece Sarala Devi, and Pt. rajendra prasad as President of the Republic of india, who declared Jana Gana Mana to be the National Anthem on january 24, 1950.

When 'Jana Gana Mana' was sung at the indian national congress session in kolkata on december 27, 1911, the song's journey officially started. In front of an august audience, Sarala Devi, Tagore's niece, performed alongside schoolchildren. Prominent members of congress, including President B.N. Dhar and President A.C. Majumdar, were in attendance.

Disagreement

During the congress calcutta session, Jana Gana Mana was performed, and on december 11–12, the nation saw the delhi Durbar. It was believed that Tagore wrote Jana Gana Mana as a tribute to king George V's accession as India's Emperor. As esteemed writers Amartya Sen and Isaiah Berlin have praised Tagore's anti-imperialist writings, nothing could be further from the truth.

Upon reading Tagore's translation of the song in English, the following queries arise: By 'dispenser of India's fate,' who does the poet mean? The 'ruler of the thoughts of all people' is who?

You are the master of everyone's thoughts and the one who determines India's fate. Panjab, Sind, Gujarat, and Maratha, Dravid, Orissa, and bengal are all moved by your name; it reverberates in the Himalayan and Vindhya ranges, blends with the sounds of the Gana and Jamuna, and is shouted by the waves of the india Sea. They thank you and pray for your blessings. The salvation of all people is in your hands, O steward of India's future.
