Telangana Hyderabad Roads wear Deserted Look
A massive throng was reported at Panthangi Toll Plaza, with many travelling to their hometowns in telangana or Andhra Pradesh. On Saturday, traffic was congested for around 10 km. Railway and bus stations in hyderabad were also crowded with passengers travelling to telugu and surrounding states. Special trains and buses are being conducted from hyderabad to other locations in surrounding states to alleviate the congestion. The number of passengers is expected to increase significantly during the following two days.
The telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has already announced plans to operate 4,484 special buses for people returning to their hometowns. The 'Maha Lakshmi' free travel provision for ladies on TSRTC buses in telangana may contribute to the rush this year.
Meanwhile, the rtc has established a command and control centre at bus Bhavan that connects the CCTV cameras located in several congested areas. Surveillance cameras have been deployed to monitor the passenger crowd and dispatch buses accordingly. It has made special preparations at MGBS and JBS stations in anticipation of the holiday influx.
