Fitness expert Garima Goyal agreed, saying it might also help with immunity and mood. "Weight training can be beneficial for people with autoimmune conditions as it helps improve overall strength, joint stability, and mobility," Goyal stated in a press release.

"These myokines have significant anti-inflammatory properties. Dr Kumar noted that systemic inflammation is connected with a shortage of the myokine interleukin-10 (Il-10), which is generated by muscle during exercise. According to him, the anti-inflammatory benefits extend beyond the muscles to all of the body's organ systems.
Weight training has various potential benefits for those with autoimmune diseases.
1. Strength and joint stability - Regular weight training increases muscular strength, which improves total joint stability. According to Goyal, this can be especially advantageous for people who have autoimmune disorders that impact their musculoskeletal systems.
2. Bone density - Weight-bearing workouts, such as weight training, can help to build bone density. This is especially critical for those who have autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, which can impair bone health.
3. immunological system modulation - Regular exercise has been linked to improved immunological function. While the link is complicated, moderate-intensity exercise may help maintain a healthy immune response. However, vigorous activity may have the opposite impact, making it critical to strike the correct balance.
